Avery Hutchenson, PNP, CLC, is a pediatric nurse practitioner and certified lactation counselor at Sellwood Medical Clinic in Portland, Oregon. Avery is a native Oregonian who began her career as a nurse at Seattle Children’s Hospital before moving back to Oregon to work at Randall Children’s Hospital. She went on to graduate with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from OHSU and took her wealth of experience in pediatric nursing on to her career as a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Avery lives in Portland with her husband and chocolate lab, Zola. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and doing all “granny crafts” (baking sourdough, quilting, and gardening). She also volunteers with a wilderness therapy organization, taking adolescents recovering from cancer on backpacking trips.
