Naghmeh Moshtael, MD joined the pediatric team on a full-time basis at Sellwood Medical Clinic in 2024. Dr. Moshtael has been practicing for over 20 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
She has been integrally involved in the care of medically complex patients and is a passionate child health advocate.
Dr. Moshtael is well known throughout our Portland metro area and across the state for her background and expertise in pediatric eating disorders and collaborative treatment approach. She provides comprehensive pediatric eating disorder services for children and adolescents, including but not limited to initial diagnostic evaluations, inpatient and outpatient medical stabilization, and step down from higher levels of treatment.
Dr. Moshtael has been recognized for her commitment to medical education of students, residents and fellow providers and is the recipient of numerous teaching awards, including the 2011 Community Faculty Teaching Award from Doernbecher Children’s Hospital pediatric residency program, the 2021 Joseph B Bilderback Teaching Award for Community Providers from Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and the 2024 Ann M Loeffler Community Teaching Award from Randall Children’s Hospital.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders and Columbia River Eating Disorder Network. Dr. Moshtael is married with a 17-year-old daughter and two energetic labradoodles. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, knitting, and walking with her dogs.
