Tara Schwab

MD, FAAPP

Tara Schwab, MD, FAAP, is an experienced physician specializing in pediatric care at Sellwood Medical Clinic, which has three locations in Portland, Oregon. With her extensive education and experience, along with a patient-centered approach, she helps her patients and their families get the best pediatric care possible. Over her career, Dr. Schwab has built up expertise in handling a wide range of pediatric care needs, incorporating the whole family into the care of their child.

Dr. Schwab grew up in the Pacific Northwest before attending the University of Portland, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in biology. She moved on to Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine earning her medical degree in 2004.

Dr. Schwab completed her pediatric residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Schwab has been practicing with Sellwood Medical Clinic since 2010, establishing herself as a leading pediatrician in the Portland area and earning her the Castle Connolly Award for being among the top doctors in the region. Dr. Schwab focuses on building quality, long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families, taking into account the emotional needs of all family members.

Away from work, Dr. Schwab enjoys skiing, traveling, and attending school functions with her husband and three children.
