Melissa is a Family Nurse Practitioner with 20 years of experience working in primary care in several family practice and internal medicine settings in the Portland metro area.
She graduated from Willamette University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. She then worked for several years in homeless services before receiving her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Boston College in 2004.
She is also internationally Board Certified as a Lactation Consultant. Melissa values the relationships she builds with her patients and strives to build a trusting partnership, helping patients achieve optimal health in all areas of their life. Her care focuses on preventative care and routine health screenings,as well as partnering with patients to manage chronic conditions.
Growing up in a military family, she moved throughout her childhood but has considered Portland home for most of her adult life. When not working, she enjoys staying active with running,hiking, or backpacking with her husband and two kids.
